SAME - Continuous Innovation

Technological innovation is a gradual conquest, marked periodically by leaps forward in quality. This is just the case with SAME's IRON "Continuo" model: the latest generation of SAME tractors, featuring an advanced system of stepless variable transmission. This is the most significant - but certainly not the only new feature - to make this range a real reference point from any aspect. Technically the integration of a mechanical system with a hydraulic system combines first class efficiency and smoothness, leading to remarkable advantages: progressive "stepless" speed, exploiting engine power to the full and prolonging the lifetime of the mechanical parts subject to stress.

In driving terms, comfort is enhanced (with a significant contribution from the new suspension and cab soundproofing systems) with a consequent increase in productivity.

"Continuo". A dynamic and classic Italian name sending the message loud and clear: choosing SAME means choosing continuous progress into the future.

Optimised engine management, extreme driving ease and top levels in terms of productivity: the new transmissionsystem enables the continuous variation of speed, all to benefit drivability, acceleration comfort and protection of mechanical parts.

With 24-valve timing, the cylinder fills perfectly on the intake stroke, and blending of the fuel-air mixture is optimized. Moreover, the design of the cylinder head is such that the injector can be positioned centrally and vertically, directing fuel onto the central area of the piston where ignition typically occurs, and consequently optimizing power and fuel consumption.
